Muriel L LaCasse

She was born in Auburn, May 7, 1929 a daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Landry) Carrier.

Muriel was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed swimming at the YMCA with her husband Felix, and wintering in Port St. Lucy, Florida. After the passing of her husband Felix in 1994, she joined a support group for widowers and enjoyed spending time with the members.

She is survived by her children: Michael LaCasse and his wife Joan of Old Orchard Beach, Thomas LaCasse and his companion Shannon Treadeau of Scarborough, John LaCasse and his wife Marta of Pompano Beach, FL, and Susan Dawson of Portland; grandchildren: Nick, Katherine, Thomas, Justin, John, Josh, Danielle, Gina, Jamie, Stephani, Lily and Krystina; great grandchildren: Emily, Kylie, and Hailey; her siblings: Jackie Lavoie and her husband Bill of Bedford, NH, and Arthur LaCasse and his wife Lorraine of Lewiston and Lionel Carrier and Jeannine, Allentown NJ . She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband Felix Muriel was predeceased by her siblings: Rita, Reverend Luciene, Camille, Albert and Bertrand whom died at age 6 due to an accident.

Family and friends are invited to a time of Visitation 5-7 Sunday October 14, 2012 at Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home 199 Woodford St. Portland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated 11 am Monday, October 15, 2012 at St. Margaret's Catholic Church 6 Saco Ave Old Orchard Beach, ME 04064

Interment will be held Privately at Maine Veterans Cemetery, Augusta.
