Portland-Melissa R Cortes, 45, died unexpectedly on September 28th 2023 at Maine Medical center surrounded by her mom and sisters. She was born on January 28th 1978 In Portland Maine, daughter of Jonette E Jordan and Charles R Berry.
Melissa attended class at Portland high School. she enjoyed working various jobs as a house keeper. In her free time you would find her at home listening to music or out taking walks around Portland on a beautiful sunny day looking for one or more of the many friends she had around the city. Melissa was a beautiful woman with a loving heart. She was the type of person who would lift you up when you were feeling down. She was kind, and thoughtful but what you will hear about her the most is that she was an amazing and genuine friend. Melissa is going to be missed by not only her family but also by the many friends she has though out the City of Portland.
Melissa was predeceased by her nephew and 2 nieces Joseph Call, Lexi Bell, and Raelynn Bell. In addition to her parents she was survived by her two Sisters, Stacie Jordan and Rachel White, her two nieces Alyssa White and Aja White all of Portland, and her 8 wonderful Children.
