Marie Farrington

Marie was born in Portland on April 10, 1943, the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Mandarelli) Fusco.

Marie attended local schools and was a graduate of Portland High School, class of 1961. She married Kenneth Farrington Sr. in 1962 and had one son, Kenneth Jr.

She was employed with Porteous and Catholic Charities and in 1986 she started her own cleaning service. By taking great pride in her work she grew her business to over 30 commercial accounts and had three employees.

She enjoyed spending time with her sister, Connie. Connie and Marie were best friends they loved shopping and going to Christmas fairs together. She loved spending time with her great-nephews and niece, Robert, Matt, Jordan, Max and Elizabeth as well as working around her home and visiting with her neighbors. Her greatest joy came on June 12, 2003, which was the birth of her only grandchild, Megan. She spent the past eight years of her life dedicated to her granddaughter.

She was predeceased by her parents; and sister, Connie Burnham. She is survived by her son, Ken Farrington Jr. and Coni Dyke of Gray; granddaughter, Megan Elizabeth Farrington of Gray; nieces and nephews and numerous cousins. She will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Monday, April 16, 2012, from 6-8 p.m., at Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St., Portland.
