Lew was a romantic. A true lover of movies, music, D&D, the NY Giants, a collector of comic books, hosting costume parties, his long leather coat and Lew was especially passionate about wolves. They were truly his spirit animal. Lew could recite any movie, especially Mr Smith Goes to Washington or Harvey and could certainly karaoke any song.
Lew took great pride in his career as a CNA. He loved working with those that were disabled or sick. He believed that taking care of people that needed help and those that needed someone to be there was a special calling. Lew loved listening to their stories and taking care of his clients. They all loved Lew.
There was something about Lew’s laugh and smile when he was truly happy in life. His smile was infectious. His laugh was contagious. You could hear him from across the room.
Lew is predeceased by his father, Lewis Pelkey of Millinocket, survived by his mother Penny Lowell of Windham, brother Terry DeRoche and wife Roxane Coron of Louisiana, his sister Christian Grygent and her husband Edward of Massachusetts, sisters Jackie McLaughlin and Michelle Chackan, two nephews and two nieces and lots of dear friends.
