Larry was born in Kittery, ME on March 13, 1960 the son of the late Lawrence Carleton Brown and Marjorie (Barks) and her husband Dean Muckle of Camas, WA. Because his Dad was in the Air Force, Larry moved around a lot during his childhood, spending time in New Hampshire, Washington, Oregon, Africa and Spain before coming back to Sanford, ME where he graduated High School.
He obtained his HVAC license and then spent fifteen years installing furnaces for Dead River Oil before going to work as a driver for Blow Brothers, where he worked until becoming sick.
Larry enjoyed the outdoors immensely; he enjoyed hunting and boating and also played in several softball leagues, however fishing was his passion. Larry was an expert Bass fisherman, earning many trophies and accolades over the years.
Larry also was a huge movie lover and enjoyed just about any type of film; he was also a very social person and greatly enjoyed his monthly outings with his special group of friends.
Besides his Mother, step-father and his Fiancé, he is survived by his four children Brooke Brown of Windham, NH, Levi and Kaya Brown both of Sanford and Elijah Brown of Salem, MA. He also leaves two step children Marcus and Michael Desveaux both of Wells, ME and his Yorkie “Alvin”. He also leaves his sister Vickie Yvonne Adams of McMinnville, OR, a step sister Marie Schockey of El Paso, TX and a niece Jana Pursal of McMinnville, OR.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Sunday, February 23, 2014 from 1 -4 p.m. at the Oak Street Bistro, 3 Oak Street, Alfred, ME.
