John E. “Johnny” Webb II, 66, of Westbrook Maine, passed away August 2, 2017. John passed away peacefully at his residence, after a lengthy illness surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 15, 1951 in Westbrook, the son of the late John E. (Jack) Webb & Gloria Michaud Webb. He grew up in Portland, Maine attending Portland schools.
After school, John enlisted in the Marine Corps, shortly after he married the love of his life of 46 years, Deborah S. (Conley) Webb, “Mrs. Little”; whom he is survived by along with his two daughters, Carrie A. Perry and husband Darrell of Windham, Maine and Jessica J. Webb of Westbrook, Maine. Grandchildren: Alyssia Webb, Brianna Chartier, Jacob Perry, Isaac Theriault & Jaimee Theriault. Great Grandchildren: Lillian Chartier, Logan Bowie and Olivia “Olive” Chartier. He is also survived by his siblings: Richard E. Webb of Lyman, David P. Webb – comrade & best friend of Westbrook, Susan Bernier & husband John of Westbrook, and Sally Faulkner & husband John of Windham; also, his longtime, dear friend & “brother”, Steven Savage.
At the center of his life was a deep sense of faith and love for God and his family. He was a collector of music and had a vast knowledge of most genres, more times than not he could name any song title, and artist without fail. He enjoyed being in his yard on his riding lawnmower, striving endlessly to landscape a pristine outdoor area. He had numerous gardens over the years and took pride in the upkeep of them. He enjoyed spending most of his days outdoors, close to nature & especially had a deep love of the water, particularly the ocean. He was usually the first one in the water at summers’ beginning and again to enjoy the last swim at summers’ end. To relax he loved to read, watch TV, or lounge in his hammock. He enjoyed horseshoe tournaments on any given weekend, with family and friends. His most recent joy had been watching his Great Grandchildren develop and grow, he loved to watch them play, and they truly were the light of his life. He was affectionately known to his Grandchildren as “Pic”.
His way of bringing humor to any situation will be deeply missed. He was a one of a kind; husband, brother, uncle, grandfather and great grandfather.
Friends and family are invited to attend a time of visitation on Monday August 7, 2017 from 10:00AM to 12:00PM with a memorial service at 12:00PM in the funeral home.
