Portland, ME – James “Jimmy” David DiPietro, 47, of Scarborough passed on Friday. September 12, 2014 at Maine Medical Center. He was the husband of Lisa M. Levantino-DiPietro. Jimmy was born in Orange County, CA on July 7, 1967, a son of Lawrence (Larry) DiPietro and Patricia (Silva) White of Bradenton, FL. He grew up in Portland attending local schools, dedicated to having a good old time and graduated from Deering High School. Jim was a master carpenter, a long line fisherman, and most importantly a Clam Digger of Pine Point, Maine. He dug daily with His sons, and Brother Chuck Maynard. He worked for Bayley’s Seafood Company for many a moon. Forever an amazing father, hard worker and loving husband, always full of laughter to light up any room. Even though, at times his wife would tease and tell him to stop being “socially unacceptable.” He spent many a-day and night with his boys out catching the “biggest stripers!” Rain or shine he worked hard. Jim always had a ridiculous story to tell, jokes that brought all different people of different types to laughter. No matter what type of day, he would take time to help anyone no matter what, always. Jimmy is survived by His loving, caring Wife and Mother, not only that but by his three sons, Joel DiPietro of Portland, Jacobe James DiPietro-Bayley and Jake Levantino-DiPietro of Scarborough. He leaves ten siblings; numerous nephews and nieces as well as many extended family, all whom loved him to the very end. He would send love to all of those who cared of him. Jim, a Simple Man. Forever. Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial visitation on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at the Wilde Memorial Chapel at Evergreen Cemetery, 672 Stevens Avenue, Portland, ME from 1-2:30, followed by a time of sharing at 2:30 p.m. Then a celebration of Jimmy at 433 Gorham road Scarborough.
