I wishes to express my most sincere sympathy at your loss of a Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother. I worked  with Emma at Maine Medical Emergency Department and remember her as a caring and empathic person. She also had a wonderful sense of humour which at times was needed. After we both retired I would see her on the bus and we would have  great conversations. She often  mentioned her family and how much she enjoyed them.
Emma touched a great deal of peoples lives whether she knew it or not.  She will be missed by her family and friends.
My thoughts and prayers are with Emma and her family.

One wet and cold afternoon, Donald brought me to the house on Deering Ave. This is when I first met Ms. Emma, and Gene. I think the rest of the "crew" was there too (Rick, Tina, and maybe Melvin).  She was the calmest, most laidback lady I had ever met at that time, and that was saying something because the rest of the place was chaos!!. *smile*.  I loved her for her always being there at just the right time for a chat, a cold drink, or maybe even a meal now and then. Over the years as I grew up and began to understand life, mature, she became more important, becoming a "mother" like figure. She treated me just like one of her own. I love her for that. I worked at MMC for short time and would bump into her. The smile always made my day. I'll miss you, no, fact is, I always have. May GOD keep you in his loving faith, embrace, and love. Growing up in Portland was definitely a village. I remember calling her Aunt Emma because she loved and looked out for us if we were her very own. We would tell people we were cousins to her children.  The Heavens have a brand new angel. Well done Aunt Emma, well done. You now have your blessed assurance with Christ Jesus.
