Dorothy was born in Augusta on November 2, 1925 to the late Lowell and
Gladys (Slack) Parlin. She would marry her husband John G. Landry Jr. and
together they would raise two sons and daughter, forming a loving family.
Dorothy was a talented seamstress and enjoyed knitting and cooking as well.
She was a fantastic cook and enjoyed helping others by sharing her talents
with them. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and dear
friend to many.
Predeceasing her was her husband John G. Landry Jr., their son Bruce John
Landry, a son-in-law Anthony Yankowsky and two siblings.
Surviving is her daughter Gladys J. Yankowsky of Portland, a son Anthony M.
Landry of Westbrook, four grandsons, two granddaughters, a great
granddaughter, three great grandsons, one great-great grandson, and several
nieces, nephews and cousins.
A period of visitation for Dorothy will be held Monday, April 29, 2013 from
10 to 11 AM at the Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St.
Portland; where a funeral service for Dorothy will be held following
visitation at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow services at Woodlawn Cemetery of
Westbrook, ME.
Care for Dorothy and her family has been entrusted to the Jones, Rich &
Hutchins Funeral Home of Portland.
