
Allison M. “Ted” Wolfe of Gorham, Maine passed away on March 8,2016. He was born in Saint John, New Brunswick Canada on September 10, 1923. A veteran of WWII, he served on the Canadian Navy Corvette “HMCS Bittersweet” as part of the North Atlantic Convoy Escort Service. He apprenticed as a tile setter in 1947 and was a life member of the Bricklayers and Tile Setters Union. He emigrated to America with his family in 1957 to work on the St. Lawrence Seaway Project. Ted then moved to Woburn, MA and in 1970 he moved to Gorham, ME where he operated A&R Tile Company until his retirement.
Ted was the Past Master of Mystic Valley Lodge of Masons in Winchester, MA. He was member of the Portland Eagles and the Somerville, MA Salvation Army. He enjoyed speed skating, square dancing, and ballroom dancing.
Ted is survived by his son Danny H. Wolfe of Gorham, grandchildren Danny H Wolfe II, Erin M. Wolfe, and John A. Wolfe, all of Gorham, ME. And, grandchildren Matthew J. Wolfe, Becca Wolfe, and Catherine Wolfe Hopper all of Tennessee as well as 11 great grandchildren.
Ted was predeceased by his parents Herbert & Mae Brookins, his wife Reta, his son James Allison Wolfe, and granddaughter Christina Wolfe.
Per his wishes there will be no funeral services. His family would like to thank the people at Rocky Hill Manor and MMC Gibson Pavilion for their kindness to him.
