William "Bill" Lawrence Gustafson

William L. (Gus) Gustafson, husband of Peggy Gustafson , returned to his maker on Monday August 13, 2018 unexpectedly due to natural causes. Surviving in addition to his wife are step children, Trina Licata, Vicki Keller, and William Ames. He is also survived by his sister, Karen Gondzi, her husband Ed, and son, James; brother, Frank Gustafson; and two sons, Matthew and Nathan, sister Brenda Hall and daughter, Raamya, predeceased sister, Fran; two sons, Glenn and Christopher; and daughter, Tasha. Bill was also predeceased by his parents. Bill spent a lot of valuable time with his four grandchildren, Tim, Kristin, Aidan, and Brody. He treated them as if they were the kids he never had. He was always mentoring, guiding, and partaking inn all kinds of outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting, and cruising.

Bill was a member of several organizations including Masonic Lodge #87, Scottish Rights, and the NRA. he was a starch supporter of the 2nd Amendment. Bill was not afraid to voice his opinions.

Bill retired as a Lieutenant after 20 years of service with the Florida Department of Corrections. After retirement, he enjoyed traveling with his family and continued his love for the outdoors.

A gathering will take place at Aycock Funeral Home, 1504 SE Floresta Drive Port St. Lucie, Florida 34983 from 5-6 pm on Saturday August 18, 2018. A Memorial Service will take place at 6 pm.
