Virginia was a loving wife to Bob and mother to Louise and Lisa. Born in Birmingham, she showed great pride in her Southern heritage and large family. As the 7th child she was known as “baby”. As soon as she could hold a deck of cards in her hands, she joined the nightly family bridge game. A deck was always nearby her entire life.
A family vacation to Miami Beach became permanent. Ginny attended Miami High, then on to Univ of Texas and UCLA for college. Ginny taught 3rd grade at Miami Shores Elementary before raising two daughters. She was active in Miami Shores Presbyterian Church, teaching Sunday school and sewing costumes for holiday celebrations.
Ginny retired to Port St Lucie and enjoyed making new friends, leading the morning water aerobics class and playing bridge. She loved nature and was always in awe of the bunnies, cardinals and bobcats that visited her beautiful garden. Her consideration of others enabled her to touch many lives.
Ginny will be dearly missed.
She gave specific guidance about her funeral. In lieu of flowers or donations, she asks that you do a kind act for someone else. Help us to pass on her grace.
