Scott Douglas Leonard, 51, of Port St. Lucie, Florida passed away on June 13, 2017. Born in West Palm Beach, Florida, Scott moved to the Port St. Lucie in 2008. He graduated from Forest Hill High School, attended The University of Florida, and then graduated from The University of Central Florida with his degree in Economics. Most recently, Scott graduated from Indian River State College with his degree in nursing. He was currently working at Martin Memorial Hospital as a Registered Nurse, a profession he was very passionate about. Scott was an avid reader and loved to watch movies. He absolutely loved being outside, going to the beach, maintaining his yard, and raising his Scottish Terriers. Scott is truly loved and he will be missed by many. He is survived by his loving mother, Norma Leonard of Port St. Lucie, FL; his brother, Gary Leonard and his sister in law, Karen of Big Pine Key, FL; nephews, Trent and Cameron of Big Pine Key, FL; several caring aunts, uncles, and cousins, in addition to numerous special friends. Scott was predeceased by his father, George and his beloved Scottish terrier, Dunkin, who just passed away on Sunday. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 12:00PM-1:00PM with a funeral service to begin at 1:00PM. Interment will immediately follow at Rolling Oaks Cemetery in Port St. Lucie.
