Ronald E. Mason

Ronald E. Mason passed away peacefully in his home in Port St. Lucie, Florida on May 2, 2021 He was born on March 27, 1943 in Amsterdam, NY. He graduated Wilbur H. Lynch High School, class of 1961 in Amsterdam, NY. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the State University of New York at Oswego and a Master of Science degree in Education from the State University of New York at Albany.

He taught High School Industrial Arts for the East Greenbush School District for over 30 years. Ron had a passion for golf and moved to Florida after his retirement to pursue his dreams. He never hesitated to help a friend or a neighbor in need, and he prided himself on his skills to fix just about anything.

He was preceded in death by his father, Francis “Banty” Mason; mother, Antoinette “Edna” Mason and his sister Dorothy M. Peters. He is survived by his wife Roberta (Salomon) Mason, daughter Heather (Brian) Sheldon, son Ronald “RJ” Mason Jr., brother Robert (Patricia) Mason, several nieces, nephews and countless loving relatives and friends.
