Rodney was born on September 29th, 1946 in Ardmore, Oklahoma, and lived in Oklahoma most of his life. He earned a PhD in agricultural economics and worked as a computer programmer. Shortly before retirement, he moved to New Orleans for five years. He moved to Port St. Lucie two years ago.
He was a member of St. Lucie Catholic church in Port St. Lucie, FL, and a served as a deacon at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Madill, Oklahoma.
He is predeceased by his parents, Leonard H. Walker and Mary Pauline Chambers Walker.
Survivors include Constance D. Walkers his wife of 50 years and his sisters, Sallie Walker, Marilyn Holmes and her husband Charles. He is also survived by seven children: Bill Martella, Robert Martella, Joanne Dean and her husband Andy, Brandi Walker, Maria Ibarra and her husband Luis, Ana Liliana Walker and Melisa Walker; two nephews, Chris and Wesley Holmes; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 4 pm to – 8 pm, Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Aycock at Tradition, 12571 SW Tradition Parkway, Port St. Lucie, FL 34987,
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, February 16, 2018 at St. Lucie Catholic Church, 280 SW Prima Vista Blvd., Port St. Lucie, FL 34983.
