Raquel was born in Mantua, Cuba. . She has been a resident of Port St. Lucie for the past 29 years coming from Lawrence, Massachusetts. Raquel enjoyed cooking and hosting her friends. She was very tough willed. In her spare time she enjoyed growing flower and gardening. She was active at St. Lucie Catholic Church.
Visitation will be held from 1pm-9pm on Sunday February 19, 2017 at Aycock Funeral Home Byrd, Young, & Prill Chapel, 1170 SW Bayshore Blvd, Port St. Lucie, Florida 34983. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 am on Monday February 20, 2017 at St. Lucie Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie. Committal will follow at Rolling Oaks Cemetery in Port St. Lucie.
Raquel was preceded in death by her husband, Tomas Valdes in 2016; and two children, Luis Manuel Valdes and Raquel Blanco.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews; along with countless friends.
