Mary was born in Niagara Falls, New York. She had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for the past fourteen years coming from Lake County, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Alton Scherer.
Survivors include her son, Gary Scherer of Plantation, FL; two daughters, Pamela VanAlstyne of Lake Worth, FL; Michelle Kelley of Port St. Lucie, FL; one brother, Robert Tame of Ft. Pierce, FL and six grandsons.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, December 20, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie, FL.
