Lorraine M. Lenz

Lorraine Malloy Lenz passed away Monday, August 15, in her home with her husband and four children at her side.

Lorraine was born August 18, 1926, in New York, NY to Peter Malloy and Anna (nee) O’Brien Malloy. She attended the selective Hunter College High School, and then graduated with a major in mathematics from Hunter College.

In 1950, Lorraine married Robert G. Lenz, also of New York. She worked in the insurance industry with the birth of their first daughter, Laura, in 1952. Richard, Elizabeth, and Eleanor followed, one every two years.

Lorraine and Bob lived in New Jersey until 1989, then moved to Stuart, FL; then to Virginia in 2006; and to Port St. Lucie in 2010.

Lorraine is survived by her devoted husband of 66 years, Robert, their children Laura and Guy Colonna of Halifax, MA; Richard and Jean Tibbetts of Hampden, ME; Elizabeth Billow of Cincinnati, OH; and Eleanor and John Stadnick of Roxborough, CO. There are 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and a very close sister-in-law, Jean Lenz also of Port St. Lucie.
