It is with deep sorrow and much love that the family of Joyce Morgan of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, announce her peaceful passing on Friday, August 4, 2023, at the age of 83 years. She was predeceased by her father, mother, sisters, husband Ralph Morgan. Joyce will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her 2 sons, Harvey and Earl (Rita), daughter Consie (Vincent), nieces, nephews, numerous relatives, and friends, spanning several continents.
Joyce was born in Jamaica, migrated to New York in the 1970s, and subsequently relocated to Port Saint Lucie, FL in 1988 with her husband and two of her children. She retired as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Her hobbies were gardening and most notably crocheting. Most did not know Joyce was an action movie fanatic. Because of her deep love for Jesus, she regularly attended church services to be in fellowship with other believers and was a founding member of the choir at the Church of the Nativity.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:45 a.m. on Friday, August 18, 2023, at Aycock at Tradition, 12571 Tradition Parkway, Port Saint Lucie, Florida 34987, with the service from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 6026 North U.S. Highway 1, Ft. Pierce, FL 34936.
Memorial donations may be made in lieu of flowers to Church of the Nativity, 1151 SW Del Rio Blvd., Port Saint Lucie, FL 34953, or Treasure Coast Hospice Inpatient Unit, 1000 SE Ruhnke St, Stuart, FL 34994.
The family would like to thank the staff of Martin North ICU and Treasure Coast Hospice Inpatient Unit for their compassionate care for Joyce.
