Joseph was also known as Joe Black. He was the beloved husband of Marie and the beloved father of three sons Frank, Joseph-II and Richard. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law Joan and five grandchildren, Jennifer, Joey, James, Jonathan and Jacqueline.
Joseph was born in Brooklyn, NY on Havemeyer Street. After he married Marie they moved to Middle Village, Queens and shortly after his three sons were born they moved the family to Deer Park, NY.
Joe voluntarily joined the army on September 9,1948 and was honorably discharged on September 10, 1951.
Afterwards he managed the famous Copa Cabana Nite Club in Manhattan where he met and socialized with many movie stars, famous entertainers and high profile sports icons of the time.
From there he moved on to the San Su San nite club until 1970 when he managed the Manor East Catering Hall
for over 35 years. There he booked thousands of weddings for couples and arranged various kinds of parties and celebrations of all kinds for corporations, individuals, friends and families. His reputation for "doing the right thing" spread far and wide and countless people came in and asked for him to personally arrange their celebrations.
He was well loved and respected by all who knew him as well as those who had business associations with him. He an amazing man who will be missed and always loved but never forgotten.
