Our beloved Jeffery went to be with the Lord on the night of July 8th trying to help a civilian with a stalled car. His innate ability to always put others safety above his own sadly resulted in the loss of his life. Jeffery was born in Saint Johns, Antigua, but then migrated to the U.S. in 1986. As a Navy Corpsman he studied radiology and served as a Nuclear Medicine Technician. He deployed numerous times with the Marines to include a combat mission to Afghanistan where he earned a Combat Action Ribbon. He also served as lay leader and assistant to the Chaplain. In his spare time, he loved to study the bible, serve in various ministries, play the guitar, ride his motorcycle and go fishing. Jeffery was a quick learner, so he was always trying something new. In 2017, he moved to Decatur, GA. Most important to Jeffery was his children and relationship with Jesus Christ. Jeffery is survived by his three children Alexander Skerritt, Seriah Skerritt and Elliot SkerrItt. Jeffery is also survived by his mother and father Esther Henry and Novelle Skerritt. He was preceded in death by his sibling Allecia Henry, Jesse Skerritt, Deiere (Summer) Skerrit and Faith Skerritt.
