Born on September 26th, 1945, to Conrad and Bertha (Charest) Belanger, she was raised in Fall River Massachusetts along with her two younger siblings Robert Belanger and Denise (Belanger) Fields. She attended Durfee High School and Bridgewater State College for her bachelor's degree in education.
Jeanne was married to Ronald Moniz and moved to South Florida where she paused her career as a teacher to raise her three boys: Scott, Jason, and Dean. She returned to teaching in computer education while also obtaining her master's degree at FAU. She became a Testing Development Specialist for St. Lucie County dedicating a total of thirty years to the school system. An outstanding educator, Jeanne inspired many with a strong work ethic and a love of learning.
After retiring she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her four grandchildren Leah, Aiden, Jonah and Micah.
She passed away after a long struggle with Ovarian Cancer on August 12th, 2024, at the age of 78.
To her family and friends, Jeanne will be remembered for her meticulous nature, selflessness, and fun-loving spirit. She was and will forever be a dedicated, loving mother, mémère, aunt, sister and loyal friend.
A Gathering of Family and Friends for Jeanne will be held Saturday, August 31, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Aycock at Tradition, 12571 Tradition Parkway, Port St. Lucie, FL 34987, followed by a Celebration of Life from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
