Jeanne Miller, nee Conway, passed away peacefully at home at the age of 93 on April 31st in Port St Lucie, FL. Born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y., Jeanne was the youngest of 4 children. She is predeceased by her parents and all of her siblings.
Jeanne fell in love with her brother’s friend, Bill Miller, and when he returned home from serving in WWII and Korea the two of them married. They bought Bill’s childhood home and together they raised 6 children there. After Bill retired in 1979 they moved to Port St Lucie, FL.
Moving to a new state is daunting, but Jeanne found a home and new friends at the St. Lucie Catholic Church. For decades she attended mass daily, and at Sunday mass she was easily recognizable because of the assortment of hats she wore to church. She was a regular volunteer with the church and also with St Vincent’s Thrift store. She had a generous spirit, a kind heart, and a marvelous sense of humor.
Jeanne is survived by her 6 children… Edward Miller, Catherine Cameron, Denise Reimann, William (Jeanette) Miller, Patricia (Steve) Bridges, and John (Carol) Miller, as well as her grand daughter Jessica (Jason) Davis and their 3 children.
Her funeral service will be held on Monday, May 6th at 11:00 at the Saint Lucie Catholic Church at 425 SW Irving Street, Port St. Lucie, FL 34983
