Gayle "Sue" Harper, 83, of Juno Beach, FL was born on October 11, 1941 in Dent, MO to late parents, Lorin E. Walker and Naomi P. Cope Walker and passed away on December 8, 2024 at LUXE Memory Care under the wonderful care of Trust Bridge Hospice.
Sue was a beloved wife of 26 years to late William "Bill" Roland Harper. She was the mother to Kelly Davies (Brian Schemehorn), Derek Davies (Theresa Ruckenbrod), late Scott Davies and Tiffany Davies, a loving Grandmother to Ariel Washington, Julian Davies, Maclaine Scott Davies, and Michaela Willey, Great-grandmother to Miela Nickerson and was the loving sister to late Gary Walker and Darl Walker (Barbara Walker).
Sue graduated from Roxana High School in Roxana, IL. While attending, she was installed as Honored Queen of Bethel of the International Order of Job's Daughters, a member of the Thespians, Future Teachers of America, Yearbook staff, Past president of the Future Homemakers of America, Vice President 1959-1960 of The Pep Club, and obtained her Curved Bar Pin, which was the highest award in Girl Scouts at the time! Sue then attended Drury College where she received her Associates and Bachelors Degrees, then went on to receive her Masters in Education at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and taught English at Southwest High School, Washington Jr High, and Mehlville High School, where she finally retired after 36 years of teaching. She loved the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team and held season tickets for many years during spring training in Jupiter, Fl. Sue and Bill were snowbirds at Juno Ocean Walk as a member of the ocean front Community from the early 90's until 2017 when they moved permanently to South Florida.
Sue will be remembered by her Children, StepChildren, Grandchildren, Step Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Brothers, and extended Family. Her laugh and beautiful smile will be missed by all that knew her.

A Graveside Service for Gayle will be held Friday, December 13, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Fernhill Memorial Gardens & Mausoleum, 1501 S Kanner Hwy, Stuart, FL 34994.
