Frank was born in Manhattan, New York and moved to Florida 20 years ago from Bethpage, New York. He worked as a Painter from Port Authority of New York for many years. Frank served in the United States Army. He was known to be an active man. He volunteered his time as an Usher at St. Lucie Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie. He was active in the Elks Lodge and the Moose Lodge in Port St. Lucie. His friends referred to him as the “Mayor”, because he was very social and would recruit people from Kings Isle to join the Moose Lodge, even those people he didn’t know. He dedicated his time to The Knights of Columbus, where he would cook meals. His love of baking kept his friends and family happy with his specialty biscotti, Italian piselli cookies, and rice pudding. Frank enjoyed dancing and music. He played the mandelyn harp and banjo.
Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Todaro.
Survivors include his son, Joseph Todaro ( Marie), of Mastic, New York; daughter, Annamarie Casey (John), of Melbourne, Florida; sister, Rose Pernice, of Middle Village Queens, New York; grandchildren, Amy Santoro (Glen), of Port Jefferson, New York, Melanie Speruta (Rich), of Setauket, New York, Alena Casey (Michael Janik), of Melbourne, and Mallory Casey, of Jacksonville, Florida; and great -grandchildren, Samantha, Joseph, Myla, Allison, and Riley.
Visitation will take place Tuesday, September 22, 2015 from 4-7pm at Aycock Funeral Home Byrd Young & Prill Chapel, 1170 SW Bayshore Blvd, Port St. Lucie, FL 34983. A Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at St. Lucie Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie at 11 am with Military Honors to follow. Interment will take place at a later date in New York.
