Dave loved life! It all started in Holland, Michigan July 24, 1939. He had a zest for life even at a young age. He was an Eagle Scout and active in sports during his youth. He then met Jean, the love of his life. They married, raised two children and just celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary. He had a career with Clark Oil for 35 years and then accepted the position of vice president at Hudson oil. He pursued his entrepreneurial spirit in the early 1980s when he opened a highly successful retail business in the Kansas City area. He retired at the age of 60 and traveled extensively with his wife Jean. They settled in Port St. Lucie Florida in 2003 and he was blessed to be close to family and enjoyed his retirement. He loved his faith, his family, his friends and all animals.
He will be remembered for his laugh, his generosity, his youthful spirit and his devotion to his loving wife, his family and friends.
