Born in Lansing, Michigan, he resided in Port St. Lucie for the past 16 years coming from Paoli, Pennsylvania.
Before retiring, Mr. Kirchgessner was a Vice President of Sales for Diamond Glass, in Royersford, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Kirchgessner graduated from the University of Michigan. He was a member of the Kings Isle Men’s Club and the American Veterans. He was also a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served in Korea.
He is lovingly survived by his wife of 30 years, Audrey; son Michael of Fredericksburg, Virginia; daughters, Patricia Staab of Los Gatos, California, Pamela Define of Coral Springs, Florida; brothers, Thomas of Huntsville, Alabama, John of Grandville, Michigan; sister Virginia Caldwell of Punta Gorda, Florida; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He is predeceased by his brother Joseph Kirchgessner.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 26, 2011 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Aycock Funeral Home in Port St. Lucie, Florida. A mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 1:00 pm at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie. Interment will be held at Fernhill Memorial Gardens.
