Barbara S Smith

Our loving mom passed away at Port Saint Lucie Residential Facility. She was born in Waltham, MA on December 29, 1920. She was proceeded in death by her husband Edward Smith of Northborough, MA and son Richard Abbott and granddaughter Sandra Butler of PSL. She is survived by her daughters Joyce M. Duggins and Sharon Moore and six grandchildren Stephanie, Audrey, Stacey, Joseph, Derick and Cassandra.

As a member of Sunlight Community Church she participated in Bible Study with Grace Little. She sang in the choir and was very active in Prayer Circle. Mom was also active in her Northern Church Trinity of Northborough. She served on the Board of Directors, as secretary and treasurer for many years. In her younger years she was involved with the Baptist Church of Marlborough where her mom was the organist. She was also an active volunteer with Northborough Council on Aging.

Barbara worked as Executive Secretary for the President of Paul Revere Insurance in the 1950s and 60s. She retired from Melvell Shoe and shortly after her husband's passing moved to Florida.
