Mae-Ma was the sweetest, kindest, caring, loving person - devoted to her family - and a joy to be with.
Boy did she love to cook and to feed a crowd - she made the best gungu peas and rice ever!!  
I will always remember her fondly and am so glad to have had the opportunity to speak with her on the phone on her 95th birthday this year.
She had the most beautiful smile - and the greeting “Hello darling” still rings in my ears.
Mae-ma will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

The last time we were together in Miami with Aunt Barbara and her twin sister Aunt Madge was very special, sharing a meal at a Lebanese restaurant, and at Aunt Madge’s home, three days after their birthday in 2012.
Aunt Barbara was part of the George family that consisted of many sisters. The sisters were very close and all their respective children grew up together as an extended family.
Aunt Barbara was kind, generous, loving, dedicated to family and independent. She loved to travel and would always invite one of her sisters to enjoy the trips. Aunt Barbara was a successful entrepreneur and was always willing to share the results of her business success.
I will cherish the memories of Aunt Barbara, her hard work to support the charities in Jamaica, the generous smile and concern for everyone, her unique and close relationship with her son Damion, the way she drove her American cars on the narrow roads in Jamaica, and hearing her unique horn blow many blocks away before she reached our home to pick up her sister Freda.
I am happy we were able to speak by phone on your birthdays, may you rest in peace and be reunited with your cherished son and beautiful sisters, till we meet again Aunt Barbara.

Not too long ago we celebrated our dear Maema’s 90th Birthday.  
We want to remember her as she was beautiful and vibrant.
She was generous to a fault and kind. She made sure no-one went hungry. Made the best Christmas Pudding ever and equally good was her Pineapple Upside Down Cake which she always baked for me on my birthday. She loved me not as a son-in-law but as a son.
We will surely miss her, but her memory will live on for ever in our hearts.
Rest in peace Maema. We love you!!

I am very saddened by Barbara's -  Mae Ma's passing. I will remember her fondly as the kindest, sweetest and loving lady. Always with a smile. I will miss her a lot.  May she rest in peace.

Sharing my sadness with all the family and friends of my Aunt Barbara.  Aunt Babs will always be in our memory for her goodness, kindness and thoughtfulness. She even baby-sat my 1 year old daughter so I could attend my brother's wedding. There was always a welcoming smile on her face and a willingness to help in whatever situation.  I will always remember our times together Aunt Babs.  I love you.

Aunt Barbara, my mother’s best friend and identical twin was a very important and great mentor to me.  Barbara and Madge were inseparable and at times indistinguishable to strangers who regularly mixed them up. Their outstanding sisterly love and bond were unshakable.
Throughout my childhood our family homes faced each other and I admired and loved Aunt Barbara dearly.  She was such a good, caring and honest lady and I might add, a fashionista in her time.  She was kind to everyone, no exceptions; always something positive to say, always a smile to share with a ready, helping hand.
Bless your beautiful heart, Aunt Barbara, you will never be forgotten.

Dearest family of Aunty Barbara
We pray God’s peace and comfort as you mourn her passing.
We were fortunate to see her and have a good visit just about 2 weeks ago. As always, her welcoming and loving manner and her sweet, warm smile assured us that she was happy to see us. I am so grateful for that time to say ‘goodbye’. I am also thankful to have experienced her gentle, soft-spoken affirmations and love. ..a beautiful reminder that will help me to aspire to do the same to and for those I love and am in contact with. She will not be forgotten. Every Christmas I think of her delicious Christmas puddings 😋 even though mine may not taste as good as hers, but in reality we will always be reminded of her beauty inside and out for she lives on in and through you.
