She was born in Middletown, Connecticut, where she lived most of her life before moving to Port St. Lucie in 2008.
She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut and paralegal certification from the Hartford College for Women. In her 41 year career in law she worked for four law firms, ending at Halloran & Sage LLP.
She was a member of the Central Connecticut Paralegal Association and a founding member of the Connecticut Association of Real Property Professionals, serving as its first corresponding secretary.
More recently, Alice was the secretary and financial secretary for the Spanish Lakes Golf Village Homeowners Association, and helped organize the charity Seniors Supporting Soldiers. She enjoyed bowling, bocce ball, and card playing.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, William Chamis; mother Irene Robida of Cromwell, Connecticut; brother Ronald Robida of Deep River, Connecticut; sisters Dorothy Lemay of Purgitsville, West Virginia, Gail Bogan of Moodus, Connecticut, and Joyce Forman of Middletown, Connecticut; daughter, Deborah Winicki and husband David of Stafford Springs, Connecticut; sons William Chamis Jr. and wife Karen of Roselle, New Jersey and Jeffrey Chamis and wife Demaris of Port St. Lucie; granddaughters Denise Rivera, Elizabeth Chamis, and Hannah Winicki; and grandsons Orlando Rivera, Joshua Chamis, Jason Chamis, Jonathan Winicki, and Christian Winicki.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Robida, and her brother, Richard Robida.

Services: Will be at 10:30 a.m. March 19 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2330 SE Mariposa Ave., Port St. Lucie, with a reception to follow at the clubhouse of Spanish Lakes Golf Village, Caribbean Drive, Port St. Lucie.
