Dad Happy Father’s Day! Glad to know that you are in the presence of our Lord and Savior celebrating your special day! This was a wonderful Man. I didn't get to know Uncle Bill and Aunt Dora till I found him back in the early 90's. My twin sister and I were adopted and when I was trying to find my real Family I was able to locate Uncle Bill in Colorado. He drove down to Kansas the next morning after I had talked to him on the phone the night before he couldn't wait to meet us. I am so thankful that we had come to know and love him. He is missed terribly,RIH Uncle Bill till I see you again!!

It's Christmas again. You loved Christmas so much. I have the most beautiful memories of our first and all of our Christmases together. You provided so much 
for our Christmases.  When you were just a small boy
you borrowed a wagon to haul coal ashes to earn money to purchase gifts for your siblings.  And they were so thrilled. Your parents never gave Christmas gifts to all of you.   So sad!  Our God knows your heart and love.  I do not live I just exist without you.

Christmas is here again. Memories that last a lifetime I have of  you. I remember you telling me that as a little boy you hauled  coal ashes

It has been too long since I posted a message. Bill - you are with me always. I thank God that we were blessed. Life goes on - but you will remain in my heart and thoughts and prayers forever. I feel so lost without you at my side. The mourning  has passed but the grief will last forever.

I know your heart is broken - this was such a tragedy.  Jennifer was so very beautiful - and when she smiled she lit up the room.  Dad and I loved her very much. My heart is broken also. When Cindy and Diane passed - your Father no longer wanted to live. He was so very ill and could not attend funeral services.  I do believe that your beloved Jenny is in the stars with Cindy, Diane and your Father. Linda - I no longer live - I just exist . Your Father was my life.

Memories - we shared - some beautiful memories. Reminiscent of the song  "  The way we were".
Memories that light the corners  of my mind - misty water colored memories of the way we were. Was it yesterday  -  or in the past ? A beautiful  Granddaughter slid her arm thru yours and walked to her awaiting husband to be and the Minister. Such a tiny girl - so beautiful - with the most engaging smile.  Then when her son was born - we were there. Holding him in our arms.  Your heart broke into when your beautiful daughters Cindy and Diane  met the stars. Now our heavenly Father has taken Jenny to the stars. So many tears,,,,,

Happy Father's Day in heaven, Dad......We miss you every single day and holidays especially. We have all these wonderful memories of Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, July 4th and Memorial Day and the other special days when we were all together as family. There is always a place at the dining room table where you always would sit. We all love you very much......

To The Billy Graham crusade at the Municipal
Stadium in KCMO.  Reverend   Billy Graham passed away yesterday at the age of 99 years old.
I gave my heart to Jesus at that crusade. Thank you Dad as I will see you, my sisters and  preacher Billy Graham when I go to see our Lord and Savior. Amen

Merry Christmas Dad! What a glorious day  it is for you to be in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ and your daughters Diane and Cindy. Someday all of us will be able to join you and all of our loved ones. Amen.

I still miss you everyday, I can't believe you have been gone for 2 years. There are times I am driving and I look in the seat next to me, and there you are, telling jokes, and making me laugh like you always use to do. I love you Grandpa

We know you are looking down on us and smiling...I feel your presence every now and then and it gives me such peace. I know you were with me in the operating room, when I had surgery a few weeks ago. This last week has been the toughest week of my life, It is especially tough knowing how difficult this is for my Grandma,  it breaks my heart to see her this sad. Grandpa (Daddaw) I will always miss you. but I have so many wonderful memories to hang onto. You were a role model, and a friend, you taught me a lot about life, I learned all about how to be a great salesmen from you, there was nobody that could sell like you, I swear you could sell
Ice cubes to Eskimos! Your guidance and love will carry me through to the end of my days. I love you Grandpa, until we meet again. We will always be Buddies!

Dora, the service today was so special. It was important for us to be there to honor Bill, but also to honor you. You are such an important part of our lives and we couldn't be more grateful. Our friendship was meant to be and we are so blessed. When the days ahead get hard, lean on us. We have lots of time we want to spend with you, dear friend and second "Mama."

Dora, I'm so sorry for your loss.  He was the kind of Man everyone else wishes and hopes that their sons will grow up to be just like him.  He was so kind ,loving , and passionate to everyone that crossed his path.  The memories we have will always be cherished. He always had a smile on his face,(he had a glow about him, an inner beauty, waiting to get out.)  When he came into the room, he made sure that everyone else was laughing and smiling also. Some of my favorite memories are of Uncle Bill and My Dad playing baseball with all us kids a Wyandotte Co Park, Making homemade ice-cream,  and him sitting in Dad and Moms kitchen holding my  baby Felicia who was born on his birthday, and telling me how beautiful my girls are. But my best memory is how you could always see the love that he had for you Aunt Dora.  God has called him home; his Golden Heart still beats within our hearts and our memories. This is not Good-Bye, it's until I see you again.

We were sure happy to have met your Dad a couple of years ago in New Smyrna Beach.  He made an impression and we will miss him!!

You were a wonderful grandfather and father figure to my sons Stephen and Michael Carter. You always made sure that you gave me guidance and support through all my endeavors in life after you and my mother "Dora" were married. Missing your laughter and smiling face and your silly jokes and the good times we shared will always be in our hearts and souls. No longer will you suffer the pain and sickness that you have endeared in the last three years in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. You kept telling us in the last few weeks that your grandson Michael kept visiting you and you were so happy. Stephen was vacationing in Florida and got to be by your bed side to make you happy at the end. Love, Debi And John

It is difficult to write this memorial at this time. The beautiful message from Nina and Jim breaks my heart for our heavenly Father knows the love and compassion that both Bill and I feel for them.
Bill grew up in poverty. And so, he began at the tender age of 6 (borrowing
a wagon from a neighbor) started his career of working for nickles and dimes so that he could buy his siblings little gifts. He never received a Christmas gift from his parents so he became the Santa Claus for his brothers and sisters. 
He never met a stranger, Bill loved
people. He had a close bond with his eldest grandson. He had a deep love for Stephen that carried him thru his last breath.

Bill was a great brother-in-law and a very good friend .He was smart, caring, ,funny and proud, Proud of what he had made of himself in life and so proud of his beautiful wife Dora . He was definitely one of a kind and will live in our hearts forever . We Love and Miss you Bill.. Lola Cain

There are no words to say what this man meant to James and I, he was more than a cousin. more like a second father. and was dearly loved by our sons and grandchildren he will be in our hearts and thoughts to the end of our days. Bill and Dora were so good to us we could have never repaid all they did for us with all the love and kindness they gave. Our bond with him can;t even be broken by his passing.
