Memorial Service with Military Honors for William Frank Bennett, 83, passed away Wednesday October 13 at his residence will be 4pm Tuesday October 26 at the chapel of Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, Port Orange. Mr. Bennett was born in Detroit, Michigan and moved to this area in 1984 from his birthplace and attended Epiphany Catholic Church. He retired from Allied Supermarkets in Detroit as a meat cutter. Mr. Bennett was an Army veteran who served in the Korean War and he enjoyed crossword puzzles. Survivors include, two daughters, Lisa Bouchard and Theodora Drager both of Port Orange; three grandchildren, Adam Bouchard, Desiree Drager and Dominique Drager; and his special companion, Gloria Beiermeister. Mr. Bennett was predeceased by his wife, Barbara in 1999. Donations can be made in Mr. Bennett's memory to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129.
