Susan Claire Kearney

Susan Claire Kearney, 48, of Port Orange, FL passed away Wednesday October 28, 2015 at Halifax Health Medical Center, Daytona Beach. Susan was born in New York on August 29, 1967 daughter of Edmund and Joan (Dunn) Peters. A former Ski instructor, she will always be remembered as a very gracious person who was first to help everyone. She was an avid NASCAR fan and had an extensive collection of the Disney character “Goofy” memorabilia. Susan has been a resident of this area for 23 years and is a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. Besides her parents she is survived by her husband and best friend Joseph ; brothers Francis and Edmund Peters; sisters Mary Frances Bonner and Jeanie Patti; nephews Jeremy and Christopher Bonner; niece Jennifer McNally; great nephew Tyler McNally; step children Christopher and Adam Kearney and Allison Gartrell; 6 step grandchildren; and her beloved Bassett Hound Howie. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday October 31, 2015 at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home 4815 S. Clyde Morris Blvd Port Orange.
