Sue Rudd, 68, of Daytona Beach, passed away on February 9, 2018. She was born on September 21, 1949, to her loving parents Albert and Esther Blythe, in Binghamton, NY. She is survived by her loving husband for 48 years, Timothy, and her wonderful family who include her daughter Alicia (Brian) Smith, her son Michael Rudd, her son Kyle (Amanda) Rudd, and her daughter-in-law Carrie. She has 9 grandchildren: Anthony, Jacob, Brianna, Ian, Lauren, Kayla, Mason, Maxwell, and George. She is also survived by her sister Heather (James) Galvin.
Over the years, Sue made many friends who will also greatly miss her smile, her laughter and her terrific sense of humor. In fact, humor was always a big part of her life. Her family was known for being jokesters; many friends teased them that they should take their show on the road because they were all so funny.
Sue loved Elvis gospel music, bingo, playing golf, traveling, scrapbooking, card games, and most of all she loved her family and friends. While she was often full of laughter and joy, she was also known to be sensitive and she had a very big heart.
When she was asked how she would want her legacy to be remembered, she responded to be remembered as a good person who loved and was faithful to all. Sue will be truly missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life for Sue will be held on Wednesday, February 28, at 4 p.m. at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 4815 Clyde Morris Blvd., Port Orange, FL 32129.
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in memory of Sue Rudd to your favorite Hospice or Cancer Society.
