Ronald K. Erickson

Ronald Keith Erickson 77, of Edgewater, Fl, passed away Friday July 29, 2011. He was born July 10, 1934 in Calumet, Michigan son of the late Walfred and Martha Erickson. A veteran, he honorably served in the U.S. Navy Air Corp. Ron worked for General Motors and after he retired he was the owner/operator of Berkley Carpet Cleaning Co. in Berkley, Michigan. He left Michigan in 1993 and moved to Edgewater. An avid bowler he belonged to Colonial Colony-south bowling league for many years. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 22 years Eleanor of Edgewater ; his daughter, Lori (Jeff) Ross; stepdaughters, Valerie(Keith) Tincknell and Connie(John) Phillips; stepson Gene(Sue) Harden ; brother Jack (Ann) Erickson ; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild all from Michigan. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 3, 2011 4-5 p.m. at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home 4815 Clyde Morris Blvd. Port Orange. Funeral services with Military Honors will follow Wednesday 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
