Joanne Jessica Jabluszewski Fleemin, known fondly as JoJo to her family and friends, passed away the afternoon of April 16, 2024. She was born in Wilmington, Delaware, to Helen (Gibala) Jabluszewski , who survives, and Thomas F. Jabluszewski Sr., now deceased. During her childhood, she lived in Browntown and attended St. Hedwig Elementary School until her family moved to Ormond Beach, Florida. Joanne attended Volusia County Public Schools upon relocating to Florida. Joanne fought bravely and courageously to overcome the battle with Peritoneal Mesothelioma for over three years.
Surviving Joanne are her husband, John II, her sons John III (fiance Keisha) and Jared (Sienna); her brother Thomas "Jabo" Jabluszewski Jr. (Linda, deceased) of Bear, Delaware; sister Geraldine Jabluszewski of Port Orange, Florida; sister Michele Rogers (David, deceased) Ormond Beach, and brother James Jabluszewski (Sharon) of Port Orange, Florida. She was grateful to have many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and one Godchild. Joanne was blessed with her grandson by Sienna and Jared, Carson A. Fleemin, and a new grandchild on the way this August by Keisha and John.
Joanne's career spanned 30 years as a Vice President and administrative assistant for two businesses, Ultimate Plastering and John F. Fleemin Plastering and Stucco LLC.
Joanne's sons and her grandchildren were everything to her. She loved animals, especially her dogs Jo, Buster, Jasper, Cowboy, Princess and Bear all of whom crossed the Rainbow with her 9 Lives cat, Bobcat Ranger.
Even though she loved plants and flowers, in lieu of sending those please consider a donation to an animal rescue center of your choice to remember Joanne or to the Peritoneal Mesothelioma Research Foundation for finding a cure to help others. A memorial celebration of Joanne's life will be announced at a later date.
