Ernest Lee Bough age 95 of South Daytona passed away on June 5, 2016 at Halifax Hospice of Volusia Flagler. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 26, 1921. He moved to Terre Haute, Indiana in 1922. He was the son of LeRoy and Iva Bough. He was preceded in death by his first wife Doris in 1988. He is survived by his wife Jauneta, step-daughter Sharon (Marvin), Perkins of Hilliard, FL , step grand-daughter Shanda Perkins of Nashville, Tn, step grandson Brennan Perkins of Orange Park, 2 great-grand sons Tristan Perkins of Orange Park, Kyle Perkins of Yulee, FL. He was employed for 40 years by International Paper Co. in Terre Haute, Indiana. Ernest joined the U.S. Army in 1941-1945. He was a Technical Sargent in the U.S Army.He was in anti-aircraft and radar. He was a Pearl Harbor survivor and also served in the Midway War. During his military service he was assigned to Apopka, FL to train other soldiers how to set up and use radar. He was a member of Horizon Church. He belong to the Scottish Rite of Terre Haute, Indiana. He was a 32 Mason. He was a Zorah Shriner and a member of the V.F.W. Post 979 in Indiana. He was greatly loved and always has a smile for you. He will be missed by all his beloved friends.A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m., Sunday, June 26, 2016at Horizon Church of South Daytona, 700 Reed Canal Road.
