Born in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, on August 21,1950, Eileen moved with her family to South Florida during her childhood. She graduated from Stranahan High School in Fort Lauderdale, where she laid the foundation for a life filled with kindness, generosity, and deep connections with others.
Eileen married the love of her life, Ted Wing, on March 8, 1975. They recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in Boone, North Carolina, marking a milestone of unwavering love and companionship.
Eileen’s family was the center of her world. She is survived by her husband, Ted; her brother, Steve; her two children, Billy and Andrea, and her son-in-law, Luis; as well as her two cherished granddaughters Izzy and Sofia. And her beloved dog, Remi.
Eileen's professional journey began in 1967 with BellSouth, where she started as an operator and worked her way up to a service representative. Unfortunately, after being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis in 1985, Eileen retired due to health reasons. Despite this, she remained fiercely active in her community. Eileen devoted countless hours to volunteering with the Volusia County School District, earning Volunteer of the Year honors multiple times. She also spent many years working with the local Pilot Club while serving as president during her time there. Her efforts touched the lives of many faculty, staff, and students, and her dedication to giving back left an indelible mark on everyone she met.
Known for her warm and welcoming personality, Eileen never met a stranger she couldn’t befriend. Her spirit of generosity and her ability to make others feel special were among the many reasons she was so loved by all who knew her.
Eileen will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. Her legacy of love, service, and kindness will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
