David D. Pagan Sr., 77, of Port Orange, passed away January 29, 2017. David was born in New York City son of Monsita and Joseph Pagan. He honorably served in the U. S. Navy and worked in food service until his retirement in 2006. David enjoyed meeting people and serving his community. He was always the first one to greet you with a smile and a welcoming hello. A resident of LA Costa Village, David was a past president of the homeowners association, a former board member and enjoyed meeting in the community room to shoot pool and discuss politics. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed the NY/NJ sports teams especially, the Giants and the Devils. He was an active member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church of So. Daytona and for many years served as an officer of the church and bookkeeper. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 56 years, Eleanor; sons, David Pagan Jr. and his wife Cindy and Vincent Pagan and his wife Lori; daughter, Joyce Pagan; brother, Rev. Richard Pagan ;sister, Gloria Elizabeth Pagan; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brothers Samuel and Joseph Pagan and sister Ester McNeil. The family will receive friends 10-11 am, Saturday February 4, 2017, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church 724 Big Tree Rd. Port Orange. A funeral service will follow at 11:00am.
