Christine A. Snider, 89,of Daytona Beach Florida,formerly of Clarksburg, W. VA passed away at her residence on Sunday, January 26, 2014.
Mrs. Snider was born in Clarksburg, W. VA and moved to Florida in 1956 from Charleston, W. VA. At an early age Christine lost both of her parents; she and her sister looked after each other during their high school years. She continued throughout her life helping those who were on their own so they never felt alone. Graduating from Morgantown H.S. class of 1942 she continued to keep in contact with her classmates. They took great pride in providing many scholarships to W.VA University. She enjoyed journalism, was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and an active member of the West Virginia Club. She currently is a member of Crossroads Church Daytona Beach and a Member of the Board of Regency for Liberty University.
Mrs. Snider is survived by her daughter, Marcia (Mark) Johnson. St. Louis, MO; son, John A. (Vinetta) , Port Orange; three grandchildren , Elizabeth C. McConaghy, Aaron D. Johnson and Katharine Kyle Powell and two great grandchildren, Jack and Ben Powell. Her husband John predeceased her in 2007.
