Arthur Sheldon Wells Jr. passed away at the Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at the age of 89. He was a long time resident of this area having lived here since 1956. He attended Mainland Junior High and High School, was a Daytona Beach City councilmen, a more than 50 year member of the Daytona Beach Masonic Lodge #270, and a past master in good standing of the Scottish Right of Free Masonry. Art was retired from the REA Express Railroad. He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Beverly Wells, two granddaughters, Denise Pooser and Tracy Epstein, and three great grandchildren, Hunter, Mackenzie, and Logan.
The celebration of life is scheduled for 11:00 am on Monday, November 4, 2013 at The Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 4815 Clyde Morris Blvd., Port Orange, FL. The family will receive friend Monday from 10-11 am prior to the service. Donations can be made to the American Heart Association in lieu of flowers.
