Shelton Ervin Albrecht

Shelton Ervin Albrecht, age 82 passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2023. He was born in Yoakum, Texas to the late Viola Adeline Berckenhoff Albrecht and Ervin Albert Albrecht. Shelton was an active member of Salem Lutheran Church. He served in the United States Army as a Staff Sergeant and was honorably discharged in 1967. He loved the Longhorns and the University of Texas, baseball and all kinds of music. He was a loving father, grandfather and brother and he will be truly missed.

Shelton is survived by his son, Darrin Albrecht (Marybelle); daughters, Shellye Simpson Moon (Chad) and Wynde Pustejovsky; brother, Kirby Albrecht (Elizabeth); and grandsons, Ryan Simpson, Joshua Albrecht, Jeremy Albrecht and Kendall Pustejovsky.

Shelton was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Rose Matzke Albrecht; father, Ervin Albert Albrecht; and mother, Viola Adeline Berckenhoff Albrecht.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023 at 11am at Salem Lutheran Church in Port Lavaca.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Shelton's memory may be made to Salem Lutheran Church, 2101 N Virginia Street, Port Lavaca, Texas 77979 US or to a charity of your choice.
