With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Roger Allen Owen, a devoted husband, loving father, and hardworking provider. Roger passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and unwavering support for his family.
Roger spent many years working in the oilfield, where his strong work ethic and dedication earned him the respect of many. Through his long career, he met countless people who became more than just coworkers—they became lifelong friends. He cherished those friendships and the camaraderie that came with them, always valuing the bonds formed through hard work and shared experiences.
Above all, Roger was a family man. His greatest joy was providing for and spending time with the people he loved most. His kindness, wisdom, and steady presence left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is survived by his beloved family, who will forever cherish his memory and the lessons he imparted. Though he is no longer with us, his love and guidance will live on in our hearts.
He is already missed and will never be forgotten.
Those survivors include his loving wife, Patricia Owen; daughters, Kathy Owen, Jennifer Owen, Shannon Jenkins (Kevin); sister, Gaynell Boswell, Bertha Butts; grandchildren, Haylie Beard, Kirstan Quiner, Jacob Jenkins, Kelsy Mauer, Dillon Clifton, Dwight Clifton, Dustin Clifton, Titus Daniel Clifton, David Owen, Dylan Owen, Dakota Owen; and great-grandchildren, Kason, Corbin, Levi, Johnny, and Aria.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Johnathan Owen; brothers, Leon Owen and J.W. Owen; grandchildren, Randi Mauer, Dashia Clifton; and great-grandchild, Magnolia Beard.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2025 from 10-11 a.m. at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Olivia Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Malcom Jacobs, Walter Blevins, James Gibson, Ruben Vela, Michael Odell and Adam Amason.
