Robert “Bob” Lynch, 73 of Seadrift passed away, October 26, 2012. He was born June 6, 1939 in Seadrift to the late Clifford and Dorothy Lynch. Mr. Lynch was a retired Port Captain and a member of First Baptist Church in Seadrift. He proudly served his country in the United States Army where he served as a Ranger and Drill Sergeant training troops for combat in Vietnam.
He is survived by his wife Ellen Lynch; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Melissa Lynch; daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Shawn Pruett; grandchildren, Brooke Carrera, Isaiah Carrera, Kelsey Lynch, Justin Lynch, Ty Lynch, William Williams, Monique Williams, Michael DeLosSantos; great-grandchild, Taylor Carrera; and sister, Linda Law.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Barker and brother Donnie Lynch.
A time of visitation will be held from 4 to 6 pm on Sunday, October 28, 2012 at the Richardson Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Monday, October 29, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Seadrift. Burial with full military honors under the direction of the Calhoun County Joint Veterans Honor Guard will follow at the Seadrift Cemetery.
