Richard "Richie" Torres II

Richard “Richie” Torres, 34, was born on July 16, 1981 in Port Lavaca Texas to Richard and Diana Torres. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, April 16, 2016. In spite of living with Cerebral Palsy for 34 years, it was a diagnosis of Cancer that took him, suddenly, from his family.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his parents, Richard and Diana Torres of Port Lavaca, Texas, sisters, Angelica Torres Guzman (Jesse) of Port Lavaca, Texas, and Roberta Stewart of Houston, Texas. Brothers, Christopher Torres (Lana) of Port Lavaca, Texas, Brother John Patrick Torres of Port Lavaca, Texas. Richie had many nieces and nephews and countless friends.

Richie, as he was lovingly called, was loved by so many and his smile was contagious. Richie enjoyed watching TV shows such as The Family Guy. He loved watching sports and his favorite basketball team were the San Antonio Spurs. He also loved listening to music. Amongst his favorite musicians were Ramon Ayala and Intocable.

Funeral services will be held at Richardson Colonial Funeral Home in Port Lavaca, Texas. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, from 5-7pm with the Rosary following immediately after. Graveside services will be Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 10am at Port Lavaca Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Christopher Torres, John Patrick Torres, Jesse Guzman, Richard Delgado, Fred Torres Zamora, Rene De La Rosa.
