Matthew Christopher McGrew

Matthew Christopher McGrew, age 22, of Port Lavaca, Texas passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2022 from 5-7pm at Richardson Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 29 2022 at 10am at Richardson Colonial Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Chris Johnson, Kris McGrew, Morgun McGrew, Trace Henderson, Gunner Moore, Xavier Rivera, Jesse Lopez and Gavin Aguilar.

Matthew was born September 1, 1999 in Port Lavaca, Texas to Steven and Sherry McGrew. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Above all, he loved football and baseball. He was a loving son, brother and grandson. He will be deeply missed.

Matthew is survived by his mother and step-father, Sherry McGrew (Andrew Horton); father and step-mother, Steven McGrew (Cynthia); brother and sister-in-law, Kristopher McGrew (Shelby); brother, Morgun McGrew; maternal grandmother, Peggy Vickery (Lonnie); and maternal grandfather, Mike Johnson.

Matthew was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Betsy and Don McGrew.
