Juan C Rodriguez

Juan C. Rodriguez, 67, of Victoria formerly of Port Lavaca passed away December 25, 2013. He was born September 16, 1946, in Robstown to late Ramon and the late Angelina Castillo Rodriguez. He was a school administrator for 17 years for the Calhoun Independent School District. He received his Masters Degree from Stephen F. Austin University in 1979.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Linda Cano Rodriguez of Victoria; daughter, Gina Castillo and husband, Rudy of San Antonio; sons, Vince Rodriguez and wife, Cristela of San Antonio, and Jonathan Hernandez and wife, Elena of Houston; the mother of his children, Eva Lucero Rodriguez of San Antonio; sister, Mary Perez of Summerville; and seven grandchildren, Andres Castillo, Karina Castillo, Juan Marcelo Castillo, Justin Hernandez, Joshua Hernandez, Alexandria Hernandez and Jacob Hernandez.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Bicente and “Beto”Gilberto Rodriguez.

The family will receive friends Friday, December 27, 2013, from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at Richardson Colonial Funeral Home, and from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 pm. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, December 28, 2013, from Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church with the Rev. Antonio Perez officiating. Burial will follow in Port Lavaca Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Rudy Castillo, Andres Castillo, Jonathan Hernandez, Joey Garcia, Mark Camacho, Rolando Perez, Ray Gomez and Eddie Valdez.
