Frank Michalek, 73, of Port O’Connor passed away May 21, 2017. He was born February 5, 1944 in Yorktown, TX to the late Rudolph and Minnie Bertha Waltersdorf Michalek. Frank served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of First Baptist Church in Port O’Connor.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Michalek of Port O’Connor; sons, Mark Michalek (Tricia) of Cibolo, Rodney Michalek (Barry) of San Antonio; daughter, Melissa Satterfield (Bill) of Port O’Connor; step-son, Wesley Hempel (Jennifer) of Uvalde; sisters, Bernice Hargrove, Doris Buesing (Marvin), Helen Serece (Bill); brothers, Edwin “Sonny” Michalek, Leon Michalek (Diane); sister-in-law, Claudine Michalek and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Dana Sue Michalek and brothers, Edmund and August Michalek.
A time of Visitation will be held Thursday, May 25, 2017 from 5-6 p.m. in Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home with a Memorial Service beginning at 6 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Marcos Gohlke and Donnie Martin officiating. Military honors will be held under the auspices of the Calhoun County Veterans Joint Honor Guard.
