Francisco "Chito" Carrizales, Sr., 79, of La Ward, TX, passed away on May 13, 2019. Francisco was born in La Hacienda de Guadalupe, Coahuila, Mexico to Antonio and Antonia Carrizales on July 22, 1939. Papa had a big heart, he knew no stranger. He loved to joke around, keep everyone around him smiling. He was known for his love of cowboy-ranching, veterinarian wisdom.
Francisco is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Antonia Carrizales; sister, Celia Esquivel; and brother, Antonio Carrizales.
He is survived by his daughters, Norma (Arturo) Madera, Elva Carrizales, Nora (Chris) Mier, Yesenia (Dru Shawn) Hill, and Romelia (Troy) Kucera; sons, Francisco Carrizales, Jr., Enrique (Anna) Carrizales, and Cornelio Carrizales; sisters, Elva Carrizales, Estela Ortiz, Emma Mulvaney, and Guadalupe Garcia; brothers, Isidro Carrizales and Rene Carrizales. He also leaves behind 24 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren behind to cherish his memory.
Visitation will be held from 5PM - 7PM on Thursday, May 16, 2019, at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10AM on Friday, May 17, 2019, at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church with the burial to follow at Red Bluff Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Rosendo Esquivel, Lazaro Garcia, Jorge Rios, Antonio Sandoval, Ramiro Rodriguez, and Lazaro Garcia, Jr.
Memorials may be given to Hospice of South Texas.
