David Ray Cobb Sr.

GYSGT David Ray Cobb, Sr USMC, 62 of Port Lavaca passed away September 16, 2013. He was born October 30, 1950 at the Elgin Air Force Base, Florida to the late Paskell Ray Cobb, Sr. and Helen Francis Waldroff Cobb. He was retired from the United States Marine Corp and was a member of the VFW Post 4403 and the American Legion. While in the Marine Corp he served in Vietnam.

He is survived by the mother of his children, Jo Ann Edwards Cobb of Port Lavaca; daughters, Katherine (Ruben) Quintanilla of Victoria, Michelle (Richard) Almanzar of Port Lavaca; son, David Ray Cobb, Jr. (Alicia) of Arlington; step-daughter, Tamara Kay (Paul) Ybarra of Port Lavaca; sisters, Jo Ann Abbot of Bluntstown, FL, Marie Cobb-Robinson of Houston, Debbie (Brian) Cobb of Seadrift; brothers, Eddie (Jerry) Cobb of El Cajon, CA, Martin (Cathy) Cobb of Port Lavaca; grandchildren, Cody Ray Cobb-Almanzar, John Michael Kokena, Brianna Marie Almanzar, Kaitlin Alexis Hudson, David Ray Cobb III, Caleb Ray Cobb, Brandon Lee Quintanilla, Mackenzie Danné Cobb, Hayden Ray Cobb; his “boy”, Nathan Durate and step-grandchildren, Paul Dominguez and Markuz Dominguez.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Nell Cobb and brother, Paskell Ray Cobb, Jr.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 20, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Port O’Connor Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be the United States Marine Corp.

Honorary Pallbearers are David Cobb, Jr., David Cobb III, Mitchell Edwards, Cody Ray Cobb-Almanzar, Richard Almanzar, John Michael Kokena, Paskell Ray Cobb and Martin Bay Cobb.
